On the evening of May 12, 2023, Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown performed direct to disc at Welcome To 1979 in Nashville, TN to celebrate the studios 15th anniversary. In honor of this, 15 Universal Audio 1176 compressors were used in the recording of this record. The performance was mixed and mastered LIVE as the band played. No stops and no do overs. Here’s a glimpse into that magical Nashville night for those of you who couldn’t be there.

Sergei Redkin was born in Krasnoyarsk in Siberia, in 1991. In 2004, he moved to St Petersburg and began his training at the Rimski-Korsakov Conservatory. He first attended the special school for gifted musicians, then took courses by Alexander Sandler. He also studied composition under Alexander Mnatsakanian, one of Shostakovich’s last students.
He won the First Prize at the Maj Lind piano competition in Helsinki in 2012, the Prokofiev competition in St Petersburg in 2013, and the bronze medal at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 2015.
Since 2017, he has been an artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, under the guidance of Louis Lortie. In 2021, he was awarded with the second prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition.

The r-release of a superb recording of Bach’s (1685-1750) iconic St Matthew Passion with leading soloists and instrumentalists from the English early music scene of the 1990s: Paul Goodwin leads an ensemble of specialist instrumentalists, including Rachel Podger (1st violin) and Ashley Solomon (flute), plus vocal soloists Nancy Argenta, Lynda Lee, Rufus Müller, Richard Jackson, Jamie MacDougall, Stephen Varcoe and Jonathan Peter Kenny. The recording captures a staged performance directed by the renowned Jonathan Miller.
