When Bob Dylan turns 70 in May 2011, his iconic career will have spanned five decades. Yet, a true portrait of the reclusive “voice of the generation” has eluded Dylan fans. Through exclusive insider interviews, and never-before-seen photos and footage spanning Dylan’s 50-year career, Bob Dylan Revealed offers an intimate biography of who Bob Dylan was, and who he is today. Producer Jerry Wexler and award-winning songwriter Al Kasha provide an untold account of Dylan’s early days at Columbia Records in 1962. Drummer Mickey Jones chronicles the 1966 Bob Dylan and the Band electric world tour that changed Rock n’ Roll forever, while soon after, Dylan used the cover of a motorcycle accident to enter drug rehab. Dylan’s 1974 comeback tour is illustrated by tour photographer Barry Feinstein through his finest photos and behind-the-scenes accounts. In 1975, Bob Dylan hit the road with a rag-tag band of folk troubadours, culminating in “The Night of the Hurricane.” Folk legend Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, violinist Scarlet Rivera, bassist Rob Stoner, and Rubin “Hurricane” Carter reveal the inside story of Dylan’s Desire album and Rolling Thunder Revue tour. Following a stint as The Entertainer in 1978, Bob Dylan fell into the arms of the Lord through the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, producing three Gospel albums. Derided as “God-Awful Gospel,” Dylan’s radical new direction alienated fans and enraged critics. Pastor Bill Dwyer, journalist Joel Selvin, singer Regina McCrary, keyboardist Spooner Oldham, and Dylanologist AJ Weberman share intimate accounts of Bob Dylan’s “born-again” transformation – and his return to Judaism! Bob Dylan Revealed culminates with Dylan’s Never Ending Tour that began in 1992 and continues to this day, as drummer Winston Watson recounts his personal journey as a warrior in Bob Dylan’s “Never Ending Band.”

Also includes 40 minutes of previously unreleased material including behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage, interviews and more.
On October 16, 1992, New York City’s hottest concert ticket was the live gathering of musical giants, legend and archetypes who’d come to Madison Square Garden to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Bob Dylan’s first Columbia Records album and play a selection of Dylan songs from culturally iconic (John Mellencamp’s no-nonsense “Like A Rolling Stone”) to bootleg obscure (Lou Reed’s acerbic take on “Foot of Pride”) that had moved and inspired them over the decades.
The four hour show, performed for a sold-out audience of more than 18,000 fans and live-cast around the world, brought together an unprecedented roster of artists and icons including Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, Lou Reed, The Clancy Brothers, Ritchie Havens, Johnny Winter, Roger McGuinn, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Ron Wood, Chrissie Hynde, The O’Jays, Eddie Vedder, Sinéad O’Connor, Tracy Chapman, George Harrison (then making his first US concert appearance in 18 years) and more. Providing musical backing throughout the show was an ensemble dream team featuring three members of Booker T. & The M.G.’s, G.E. Smith on guitar with Jim Keltner and Anton Fig on drums.
Dubbed “Bobfest” on stage by a jubilant Neil Young, the 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration reached a transcendent crescendo with an unforgettable performance and all-star jam featuring the evening’s honoree.
Viewed anew from a 20-year perspective, Bob Dylan – The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration – Deluxe Edition is a remarkable testament to the enduring legacy and ongoing musical influence of Bob Dylan. That valedictory gathering from more than 20 years ago proved to be a mid-career retrospective of a recording artist and performer who continues to inform and transform the cultural landscape.
Bob Dylan – The Times They Are A-Changin’ (1964) [Columbia/PC 8905 – US Pressing] (24-Bit/96Khz + 16-Bit/44.1Khz) (Vinyl Rip)
Bob Dylan – The Times They Are A-Changin’
Label: Columbia/PC 8905 | Release: 1964 | Genre: Country-Folk
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC | 24bit/96kHz & 16bit/44kHz
If The Times They Are a-Changin’ isn’t a marked step forward from The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, even if it is his first collection of all originals, it’s nevertheless a fine collection all the same. It isn’t as rich as Freewheelin’, and Dylan has tempered his sense of humor considerably, choosing to concentrate on social protests in the style of “Blowin’ in the Wind.” With the title track, he wrote an anthem that nearly equaled that song, and “With God on Our Side” and “Only a Pawn in Their Game” are nearly as good, while “Ballad of Hollis Brown” and “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll” are remarkably skilled re-castings of contemporary tales of injustice. His absurdity is missed, but he makes up for it with the wonderful “One Too Many Mornings” and “Boots of Spanish Leather,” two lovely classics. If there are a couple of songs that don’t achieve the level of the aforementioned songs, that speaks more to the quality of those songs than the weakness of the remainder of the record. And that’s also true of the album itself — yes, it pales next to its predecessor, but it’s terrific by any other standard.

Today I move to the ‘Far West’, heh, heh. Nothing less than the teacher-poet and the most influential country-rock singer of the last century: Bob Dylan. For this, I checked in my collection and not to repeat what others have shared (a round of applause for them), I took this great soundtrack (curiously little known). My edition is the original, that the letters in ‘dry stamp’.
Well, I saw this movie, being a bit slow maintains interest. Good performance, James Coburn (Pat Garrett) is remarkable. Besides acting another singer Kris Kristofferson (Billy the Kid) appears and. .. Dylan, as a certain ‘Alias’.
After seeing the movie I immediately went to buy the LP … and get 5 seconds later, one buyer is between his fingers. Another story, there arose a great friendship.
Music: great, great melodies (yes, Dylan is an excellent composer). Well and not less that this LP appears one of the great Dylan’s song “Knockin ‘on Heaven’s Door”. Who owns the press, already has an important part of the venerable Bob Dylan discography.
