In 2022, Bryan Adams took to the stage of London’s Royal Albert Hall to perform three of his classic multiplatinum-selling albums in their entirety: Cuts Like A Knife, Into The Fire and Waking up The Neighbours, live in concert. Postponed due to the pandemic, it became a welcome celebration for everyone involved.
At the last moment, Bryan decided he wanted to record and film performances of these albums, and called his friend and collaborator; Grammy award-winning director Dick Carruthers, to scramble his crew for a multi-camera shoot.
In one crazy day, Bryan and the band played two entire albums live in the middle of the Albert Hall, then re-set that evening to perform the third, live in front of an enthusiastic and excited crowd of fans who had waited two years for this historic occasion.
The resulting three films showcase a stunning artist at the top of his game having enormous fun, and are a convincing testament to the longevity and impact of the album’s songs.

11 is the eleventh studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams. The album was released by Polydor Records on March 17, 2008. 11 was the first release of new Adams material since Colour Me Kubrick in 2005 and the first studio album in four years since Room Service. Adams, Jim Vallance, Eliot Kennedy, Gretchen Peters, Trevor Rabin and Robert John “Mutt” Lange received producing and writing credits. Similar to Adams’ previous material, the themes in 11 are mainly based on love, romance, and relationships. 11 received generally mixed reviews from contemporary music critics.

It’s been less than five months since Bryan Adams released Classic, a digital album stuffed with re-recordings of his greatest hits from the ’80s and ’90s — and part two is already on its way.
“Bryan is happy to announce ‘Classic Pt. II’ featuring 7 newly re-recorded favorites, is out digitally on Friday! Pre-save now!” Adams tweeted out on Thursday, sharing a link so fans can make sure the album arrives in their playlists at midnight.
Why is the “Summer of ’69” singer making these albums? Similar to pop supestar Taylor Swift‘s masters saga with her former label, Bryan is also fighting to reclaim the rights to his music.
In a March 2022 interview, he told Stereogum that Swift inspired him to re-record his old hits. Adams revealed that his former label, Universal Music Group, declined to hand over the rights to his catalog.

Reckless is the fourth studio album by Canadian rock recording artist Bryan Adams. The album was co-produced by Adams and Bob Clearmountain, and it was one of Adams’ most successful solo albums. Released on 5 November 1984 through A&M Records, the album was a huge international hit, selling over 5 million units in the United States alone. It was the first Canadian album to sell more than one million units within Canada. The album peaked at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and reached high positions in the charts worldwide. In total the album has sold more than 12 million copies worldwide.
Six singles were released from the album: “Run to You”, “Somebody”, “Heaven”, “Summer of ’69”, “One Night Love Affair”, and “It’s Only Love”. All six singles made the top 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100, a feature that at the time had been accomplished previously only by Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA. The album was ranked No. 49 on Kerrang!s “100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time”, and 99th Greatest Rock Album of All Time by Classic rock and was also named the #12 Greatest Canadian Album of All Time by Bob Mersereau in his book The Top 100 Canadian Albums. The album was recorded at Little Mountain Sound Studios, Vancouver, Canada. On 12 December 2009 the syndicated radio program In the Studio celebrated the 25th anniversary of the album.
In April 2014, it was announced that a 30th Anniversary edition of the album, featuring previously unreleased material, will be released on 10 November 2014 in both 4- and 2-disc editions. Bryan Adams has today unveiled his new Christmas EP, a festive five-track release via Polydor Records. It includes two brand new recordings by the Canadian rock star and photographer, plus three previously released holiday recordings. The lead track on the EP is ‘Joe and Mary,’ an original track from the Grammy-winning Adams, for which a video will be released soon. The other new recording is his version of ‘Must Be Santa’, the Bill Fredericks/Hal Moore song covered by Bob Dylan on his 2009 festive release Christmas In The Heart. These are accompanied by the previously released ‘Christmas Time’, ‘Reggae Christmas’ and ‘Merry Christmas’. “I’m excited to be releasing this Christmas EP,” says Adams. “It was fun to record some new tracks and make a video for ‘Joe and Mary.’ I can’t wait for everyone to hear them, alongside some of my classic Christmas songs.”
